MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER
At the age of 15, I fell in love with makeup. Watching YouTube tutorials from beauty influencers like Carli Bybel and Chloe Morello, I was mesmerised by the way you could transform yourself into something sparkly just with a few products.
However, in my early twenties, comparisons and insecurities weighed heavily on me. I started to compare myself to people online and in person which lead me to use makeup as a shield. I tried to hide and change my true self in fear of not meeting societal standards. Everywhere I looked I saw a new beauty trend I wasn’t meeting. From big lips, to poreless skin textures- don’t get me started on body image.
Constantly striving to emulate celebrities and trendsetters left me feeling exhausted and disheartened. I noticed a lack of representation in the beauty industry – flawless models and celebrities dominating websites and social media showcasing a reality that seemed unattainable to someone like me, struggling with stress, hormones, acne, and imperfections.
I also noticed the marketing tactics these big beauty brands were using. They were all editing photos of their models and products and essentially selling me a lie. It’s safe to say I was disheartened by the false narrative of beauty perpetuated by edited photos and unrealistic standards.
That’s when I decided to follow my dreams and passion of creating my own makeup line. But I was going to do it differently…I decided I was going to make the most luxurious value for money products. That not only look good but make you feel good too. And I was going to make sure that the brand I would create- wont give women insecurities by displaying a false idea of what beauty is.
Today, we proudly showcase our luxurious products on women of all shapes, sizes, and skin textures, challenging conventional beauty norms and empowering consumers to embrace their unique beauty. At Faceless Cosmetics, we believe that beauty begins from within and radiates outward, representing the real you, always.
